Dharmasthala and kukke trip

The Sri Manjunatha Swamy Temple has a
history that apparently dates back 800
years, but the main temple building you see
as you enter the temple premises seems to
be new ,and looks like a mansion built in old
South Indian style… similar to the
Mookambika Temple. Of course, the main
temple lies inside the temple
complex and its architecture is quite
exquisite with beautiful carvings on wood
and brass.

Karnataka has many Temples and Kukke
Subramanya is one of them. It is located
in the heart of the Subramanya village,
which is within the Sullia district of
Dakshina Kannada district. This Hindu
Temple is the major pilgrim and tourist
attraction in this area. If you want to visit
the temple, you have to cross the
Kumaradhara River and take a dip in the
river, which is one of the rituals followed
before entering the temple. Crossing the
river along with lots of people can be a
life time experience.
Never ever ever go to Dharmasthala on a long weekend.
